Biography

Heather H. Miselis is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine. She holds an MD and MPH from Boston University and a BS from Simmons College. Miselis is the Principal Investigator at Boston University Community Health Alliance Medical Professionals (BU CHAMPs). Her work involves developing healthcare teams to address the quadruple aim: enhancing patient experience, improving population health, reducing healthcare costs, and improving healthcare providers' work life. She is actively involved in advising, teaching, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers and was an inaugural member of the BUSM Academy of Medical Educators. Miselis leads initiatives in interprofessional education and has expertise in team-based collaboration and continuous quality improvement. She has held roles in various committees and has received numerous awards for her teaching and contributions to family medicine. Miselis also participates in multiple research projects focused on patient-centered care and healthcare outcomes, and she has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
