Biography

Professor Hector Chinoy is a leading expert in Rheumatology and Neuromuscular Disease at the University of Manchester, UK. He has an active research program focusing on genetic and environmental risk factors contributing to inflammatory muscle diseases, particularly myositis. Professor Chinoy completed his medical degree at the University of Nottingham in 1996 and later undertook a PhD fellowship at the University of Manchester. In addition to his research, Professor Chinoy is an Honorary Clinical Consultant at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, where he is involved in the Neuromuscular team. He actively participates in national and international conferences and is an advisor and reviewer for prominent rheumatology journals. His work significantly advances the understanding and treatment of myositis and related disorders.
