Biography

HeeJung Jung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Imperial College London. She obtained her PhD in Management from INSEAD. Her research focuses on social evaluations and non-regulatory factors that promote or hinder diversity and inequality within organizations, particularly emphasizing corporate leadership and entrepreneurial teams, as well as elite workers. HeeJung is dedicated to applying scientific methods and interventions to promote inclusiveness for historically marginalized groups in the corporate entrepreneurial landscape. Her research has been published in top management journals, including the Academy of Management Journal and Organization Science. It has also garnered attention from major North American, European, and Asian newswires and business publications such as Time Magazine, Fortune, Forbes, and Maeil Business Newspaper. HeeJung has taught entrepreneurship and diversity to MSc, MBA, engineering, and medical school students. She is the recipient of the Excellent Teaching Award for Inclusive Teaching, awarded solely based on student voting. Additionally, she has served as a jury member for major startup competitions in the UK and North America, including Shell LiveWIRE and QEC.
