Biography

Heidi Haas is a speech-language pathologist in central Pennsylvania, with experience spanning various clinical settings since 1995. Her professional background includes sub-acute care and inpatient adult neuro-rehabilitation at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In 2001, she transitioned to providing assessment and intervention services to children aged five in outpatient and classroom-based settings. Areas of specialty include pediatric speech sound disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Over the past 20 years, Heidi has mentored and supervised graduate student clinicians during their fieldwork experiences and clinical fellowships. Notably, she was nominated for the 2020 ASHA Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions to Preschool-Grade 12 Education Settings and received an Innovation Grant aimed at enhancing community-based speech therapy programs that support children with speech sound disorders and emergent literacy skills. Additionally, Heidi is a teacher-author of over 80 online resources focused on evidence-based assessment and treatment of pediatric speech sound disorders. She is a preferred provider for the Apraxia Kids Network and has received multiple ACE awards from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
