Biography

Heidrun Potschka is a Professor at the Institute of Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmacy at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Justus Liebig University Giessen in 1997 and attained her habilitation in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover in 2004. She served as a private lecturer and junior professor at the Institute of Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmacy at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover from 2004 to 2006, before becoming a professor and head of the Institute at LMU Munich. Her research interests include the pharmacology and pathophysiology of epilepsy, as well as the function, regulation, and significance of multidrug transporters in pharmacoresistance. Potschka has received several scientific awards for her contributions to veterinary health.
