Dr. Heitor Lima

Biography

Heitor Lima is a Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, earned in 1998, and has an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the State University of Campinas, Brazil, completed in 1991. Additionally, he obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo in 1978. Professor Lima has a rich background in engineering with a focus on advanced concepts in drilling and design within the petroleum sector. His work primarily emphasizes the complexities associated with deepwater drilling and design, as well as the advancements in control technologies applicable to these fields. Professor Lima is recognized for his contributions to both academia and industry through teaching, research, and numerous publications. He is committed to advancing knowledge in petroleum engineering and preparing the next generation of engineers for the challenges of the field.
