Associate Professor Goulios is the Clinical Director of the Audiology Program at the University of Western Australia. She graduated with class honors in Physiology from the University of Western Australia in 1982 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Audiology at the University of Melbourne in 1983. Her career has included senior clinical management positions at Hearing Australia in Perth, the National Acoustic Laboratories in Sydney, and the Royal National Institute for Deaf People in London. Since the inception of the UWA Audiology Program in 2000, she has been dedicated to supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and their families. Helen has been actively involved in promoting audiology education and service delivery, particularly in low- to mid-income countries, providing voluntary services on numerous projects across Asia and Africa. She coordinates and lectures multiple Master's units covering various areas of audiology and has served as a Board Member and Vice-President of Audiology Australia. In recognition of her contributions, Helen was awarded Life Membership in 2023.
