Biography

Hélène Verhaeghe is an Assistant Professor at UCLouvain, affiliated with the AIA group within the ICTEAM research institute. She has an extensive academic background, having previously served as a post-doctorate researcher at KULeuven under the supervision of Professor Tias Guns and at Polytechnique Montréal supervised by Professors Gilles Pesant and Claude-Guy Quimper. She earned her Ph.D. from UCLouvain in 2021, where she was guided by Professors Pierre Schaus and Christophe Lecoutre. Her research interests encompass constraint programming, combinatorial optimization, table constraints, MDDs (Multi-valued Decision Diagrams), decision trees, scheduling problems, and the hybridization of machine learning with optimization techniques.
