Biography

Henderik Willem Frijlink is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Groningen, with a focus on biopharmacy and drug formulations. He specializes in dosage forms for drugs, including biopharmaceutical aspects, industrial production, and pulmonary drug administration. His research contributions also extend to the stabilization of biopharmaceuticals such as proteins, vaccines, and genetic material. He holds expertise in sugar glass technology, gastrointestinal targeting for orally administered drugs, and the formulation of poorly soluble drugs, as well as innovative routes for vaccine administration.
