Biography

Heng Pan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. His research career includes a focus on additive manufacturing, dry electrode manufacturing, and laser-based micro/nano-manufacturing. Pan has contributed significantly to the integration of multi-materials for multifunctional applications and has explored laser-material interactions as well as transport phenomena in manufacturing processes. His work has been recognized by several awards, including the NSF CAREER Award in 2019 and the Research Momentum Award from Missouri S&T in the same year.
