Biography

Henk Siepel researches potential nature restoration in Dutch heathlands and forests. His work draws knowledge from soil chemistry and soil biology to restore soil, providing a foundation that enables vegetation and animals to re-establish their existence. Professor Siepel holds a chair in Animal Ecology and researches the relationship between animals and their surroundings, investigating how species adapt and cope with particular environments as part of their survival strategy.
