Biography

Henrik J. Ditzel is a Professor and Head of the Research Cancer Inflammation Research Unit at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Southern Denmark. He also serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Oncology at Odense University Hospital. Ditzel has notable experience as an Adjunct Professor at Scripps Research Institute and as a Visiting Professor at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute Hospital in China. He obtained his MD from the University of Odense in 1987 and completed his PhD in Cancer Immunology in 1992, followed by a medical doctoral thesis (DMSc) in 1999. Ditzel's extensive clinical training at UC San Diego culminated in board certification in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics. Since 2003, he has led a significant translational cancer research group focused on breast cancer, precision medicine, and various related topics. He has published over 160 scientific articles in prestigious journals and has been actively involved in numerous international conferences, receiving multiple awards throughout his career for his contributions to cancer research.
