Biography

Henrik Friberg Fernros is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in political theory and qualitative methodology at both basic and advanced levels. His research interests include politics bioethics, humanitarian interventions particularly regarding the Responsibility to Protect, and deliberative democracy theory. Currently, he is investigating the role of political liberalism and the arguments that fuel political debate. Notably, he is engaging in research funded by the Riksbankens jubileumsfond during his sabbatical from 2024 to 2025, focusing on the normative conditions of political coercion. Over the past years, he has taught a variety of courses related to political science and has supervised numerous theses at the bachelor's and master's levels while also overseeing doctoral research. He served as the Director of Studies for the Centre for Educational Science Teacher Research at the University of Gothenburg from 2017 to 2023.
