Dr. Henrik Stevnsborg

Biography

Henrik Stevnsborg is an Emeritus Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen. He has an extensive academic background with degrees including a Dr.phil. in history from the University of Southern Denmark completed in 1992, alongside previous qualifications from Copenhagen University. His career began as a researcher at the Copenhagen Business School and progressed through various academic roles including assistant and associate professorships at the University of Copenhagen, ultimately leading to his position as a professor. His research largely focuses on police law, legal history, and the interplay between police and military within security contexts. Stevnsborg has an extensive publication list and has actively contributed to the field through lectures, courses, and various research projects. His recent work investigates the historical perspectives of police and policing in Denmark, exploring the complexities of internal and external security. He is also involved in PhD supervision and has secured external funding for research scholarships. Stevnsborg has participated in numerous academic events and maintains an active presence in legal research communities.
