Dr. Henrik Zetterberg

Biography

Henrik Zetterberg is a Professor of Neurochemistry specializing in neurodegenerative diseases at University College London (UCL). He received his MD in 1998 and completed his PhD in 2003. His academic journey includes positions such as Associate Professor in Neurochemistry in 2006 and Senior Consultant in Clinical Chemistry the same year. He became a Professor of Neurochemistry at the University of Gothenburg in 2011 before moving to UCL, where he has been a faculty member since 2012. Zetterberg also has extensive experience at the Institute of Neurology, UCL, where he focuses on research related to neurochemistry and its implications in neurodegenerative conditions. In addition to his roles in academia, he has been involved in clinical consultancy at Sahlgrenska University Hospital since 2006, contributing his expertise to the field of clinical chemistry. His work emphasizes the importance of neurochemical markers in diagnosing and understanding neurodegeneration.
