Biography

Henry Dietz is a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Latin American politics, with a particular focus on urban poverty politics, civil-military relations, political parties, and party systems. He has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Peru from 1964 to 1966. Professor Dietz has contributed to significant works, including 'Urban Elections in Democratic Latin America' (1998) and 'Urban Poverty, Political Participation and the State: Lima 1970-1990' (1998), among others.
