Dr. Henry Hsia

Biography

Henry Hsia is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Yale School of Medicine, where he dedicates his professional life to innovative wound treatment research. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University, he studied at Cambridge University before pursuing his medical degree at Yale. Hsia completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and received certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been instrumental in developing novel interventions for difficult wounds, leveraging insights gained during his postdoctoral research at Princeton University. Hsia serves as the founding director of the Yale Regenerative Wound Healing Center, where he aims to advance therapeutic strategies for chronic wounds through collaborative research and clinical practice. His work has garnered NIH funding, allowing him to explore the biological processes underlying wound healing and influence both clinical and scientific communities. Additionally, he actively contributes to the education of medical students and surgical residents, focusing on the integration of clinical practice with translational research.
