Dr. Henry Hsia

Biography

Dr. Henry Hsia is a board-certified plastic surgeon dedicated to developing innovative wound treatments through both basic and clinical research at Yale School of Medicine. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and pursued further studies at Cambridge University. He earned his medical degree from Yale University, completed a residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and received certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. After his residency, he became a postdoctoral research fellow at Princeton University, where he focused on the extracellular matrix's role in regulating wound cell behavior. As the director of the Yale Regenerative Wound Healing Center, he has transformed the clinical approach to chronic wounds, making Yale-New Haven Hospital a premier regional referral center. His research interests span multiple aspects of wound healing and regenerative medicine, often emphasizing clinical applications and cross-disciplinary collaborations. By integrating his clinical expertise with extensive research, Dr. Hsia aims to bridge the gap between basic science and clinical applications, impacting patient care significantly.
