Biography

Henry Surendra is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Master of Public Health Program at Monash University Indonesia. He obtained his PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. His current research focuses on the evaluation of zoonotic malaria transmission related to agricultural land use in Indonesia, COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, and the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on tuberculosis, HIV, and childhood vaccination programs. He has expertise in TB epidemiology in Indonesia and has worked as a Postdoctoral Epidemiologist at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit. Henry is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health in the UK and an Honorary Fellow at the Menzies School of Health Research in Australia. He is a member of the Indonesian Academy of Young Scientists and the Indonesian Epidemiologist Association, actively contributing to public health discussions and initiatives in relation to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
