Biography

Herbert Zirath is a Full Professor in Microwave Electronics at Chalmers University of Technology. He received his MSc and PhD degrees from Chalmers University in Göteborg, Sweden, in 1980 and 1986, respectively. Since 1996, he has been a professor in the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience. His primary research interests include foundry-related MMIC designs for millimeter wave and sub-THz applications based on III-V and silicon technologies. Currently, he is involved in three EU projects: 6GTandem, CoreNext, and TeraGreen, which focus on RFIC-design and SiGe BiCMOS technology for high data rate communication. Herbert has authored or co-authored more than 530 refereed journal and conference papers and holds 5 patents.
