Hernan Galperin is an internationally recognized expert in internet policy and digital inequality. His research employs empirical methods, including surveys and field experiments, to understand the determinants of broadband adoption and its link to social stratification. He has published extensively in major journals such as Telecommunications Policy, Development Policy Review, New Media Society, Government Information Quarterly, and Information Technologies International Development (ITID). At USC Annenberg, he serves as the director of the Annenberg Research Network on International Communication (ARNIC) and is also a non-resident fellow at the Center for Technology and Society at Universidad de San Andres in Argentina and at CIDE’s Centro Latam Digital in Mexico.
