Biography

Dr. Hey-Joo Kang is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology specializing in Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine. A board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, he offers a full range of assisted reproductive technologies and treatments. Dr. Kang's areas of special interest include ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), fertility surgery, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and male infertility. He completed his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Following his training, he underwent residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award as a chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center. Dr. Kang has authored and co-authored numerous articles and textbook chapters in his field and conducts research on embryo implantation and epigenetic factors related to IVF success. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
