Biography

Hilary Brown is an Associate Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Science in Community Health and Epidemiology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health Studies from Queen’s University. Her research focuses on reproductive perinatal epidemiology, maternal child health, chronic medical conditions, disabilities, and health social services administrative data. Dr. Brown is an Adjunct Scientist at both the Women’s College Research Institute and ICES. She has been awarded several research grants, including a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Disability Reproductive Health and multiple Canadian Institutes of Health Research grants to study the implications of disabilities in pregnancy and associated perinatal mental health outcomes. Additionally, she has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, contributing to the understanding of health outcomes for women with disabilities and their infants, as well as the impacts of chronic medical conditions on perinatal mental illness.
