Biography

Hilda Elena Fernandez, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (in Pediatrics) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She serves as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Dr. Fernandez's research focuses on kidney transplant outcomes and she is recognized as an expert in the transition of care from pediatric to adult care practices. As part of her academic and clinical duties, she treats children with chronic kidney disease and supports young adults in the kidney transplant process.
