Hildegard Diemberger is the Research Director of the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit (MIASU) at the University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of Pembroke College. She currently heads an interdisciplinary research project examining the effects of climate change on sacred landscapes in the Himalayas, in collaboration with colleagues in Norway. Her research interests encompass local and state dynamics in rapidly changing traditional communities, exploring themes of power, kinship, gender, and environment within the Tibetan cultural area.
