Biography

Hiroe Yamazaki received her PhD from Kyoto University in March 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Takehiko Satomura. She currently holds a postdoctoral position at Imperial College London, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council and supervised by Dr. Colin Cotter. Her research interests focus on the development of numerical methods in geophysical fluid dynamics, with a particular emphasis on modeling numerical weather prediction. Throughout her academic career, she has gained experience as a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London since 2014, and previously in the Department of Physics at the University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2014. Hiroe has a strong educational background, having completed her MSc and BSc in the Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Kyoto University, where she studied from 2007 to 2012.
