Hisham Z. Massoud joined the Duke University Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in 1983 and has since served as a Professor and founding director of the Semiconductor Research Laboratory. With a background as a research scientist at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center and the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina, he has also engaged with global institutions including Hewlett-Packard and the Max-Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics. In 2012, he was a visiting professor at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia.
