Biography

Holly Gibbs is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She also serves as an Associate Research Scientist at the Microscopy Imaging Center. Dr. Gibbs completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2014. Her research focuses on developmental regenerative neurobiology, emphasizing brain development, form and function regeneration, along with advanced microscopy techniques, image processing, and visualization. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has received several awards, including the Faculty Commitment Students Award from the Texas A&M University Student Chapter Biomedical Engineering Society in 2016 and the Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Student Award from the Look College of Engineering in 2014. Her dedication to teaching and research excellence has been recognized through a Teaching as Research Fellowship with the Graduate Teaching Academy at Texas A&M University in 2013, and she was honored with the Buck Weirus Spirit Award from the Association of Students at Texas A&M University in 2012.
