Biography

Holly Priebe Sotelo is an Associate Teaching Professor in Practicum Education at the University of Southern California, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. She holds a Doctorate in Policy, Planning, and Development from the University of Southern California, a Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services from California State University, Los Angeles. Her professional focus is on educational responses to school crises, including threat assessment, child abuse, and human trafficking. Sotelo is dedicated to the field of social work, educating future practitioners in managing challenging social issues and advocating for children and youth. Her research includes topics like mediation, conflict resolution, and public-school leadership in relation to human trafficking prevention, contributing significantly to discussions on social justice and education.
