Biography

Hong Ge obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2016 and subsequently completed a postdoctoral position as a Junior Research Fellow at Darwin College. He is currently a Research Professor in the Machine Learning Group at the Department of Engineering and serves as a Research Lead at the Alan Turing Institute. Hong is a fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge. His research focuses on probabilistic machine learning, particularly in the areas of Bayesian inference, conceptual mathematical understanding, and neural networks. He has created a probabilistic programming language that has gained wide usage in research regarding computational statistics and machine learning.
