Biography

Hongyang Dong is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick. He worked as a research fellow in machine learning and intelligent control from 2019 to 2022, and became an Assistant Professor in November 2022. His current research interests focus on control theories combined with machine learning methods and their applications in complex systems, particularly in offshore renewable energy systems and autonomous systems. He has published over 30 papers in these relevant areas, including 18 in IEEE Transactions journals.
