Biography

Hormoz Ebrahimnejad is a historian specializing in the modern history of Iran, particularly in the eighteenth to twentieth centuries. His notable publications include two books: 'Medicine, Public Health and the Qâjâr State: Patterns of Medical Modernization in Nineteenth-Century Iran' (Brill, 2004) and 'Medicine in Iran: Profession, Practice and Politics' (Palgrave, 2014), which delve into the transformation of medical practices and institutions in Iran. Ebrahimnejad has actively participated in international workshops discussing medical modernization in various countries and continues to contribute to academic discourse on the intersection of politics and medicine in historical contexts.
