Biography

Horst Heck studied Mathematics and Computer Science, receiving his diploma in 2000 from the University of Karlsruhe, now known as Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He obtained his doctorate in 2003 from Technische Universität Darmstadt and completed his habilitation in 2007. His research interests primarily focus on Partial Differential Equations, particularly in the context of Fluid Models and Inverse Problems. Additionally, he has developed an interest in image processing and machine learning, actively contributing to both teaching and research projects at the university, where he supervises Bachelor and Master theses in the Master's Program in Biomedical Engineering.
