Biography

Dr. Howard Berger completed his medical school and obstetric gynecology residency in Israel, and then finished his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. In 2006, Dr. Berger joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, where he leads the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetric Ultrasound. He is also the director of the Advanced High Risk Obstetric Fellowship Program at St. Michael's Hospital. Additionally, he is a professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as adjunct staff at the Li Ka Shing Research Institute, with a cross-appointment in the Department of Health Policy Management and Evaluation. Dr. Berger's research interests focus on diabetes in pregnancy, maternal adiposity, and prenatal ultrasound.
