Biography

Huacheng Zhang is an Associate Professor in Finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where he has been since August 2023. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in Finance at Nottingham University Business School and the Institute of Financial Studies at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Arizona, a Master's degree in Economics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and an MBA and Bachelor's degree from Chongqing University. His research interests encompass empirical asset pricing, institutional investment, and international finance. He has presented his work at various annual conferences, including the American Finance Association and European Finance Association, and has publications in esteemed journals such as Management Science, Review of Asset Pricing Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Empirical Finance.
