Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Huaiyu Yuan. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Huaiyu Yuan is an adjunct senior research fellow and observational seismologist at the University of Western Australia. His specialization lies in continental lithospheric structural imaging utilizing earthquake seismology. His current research focuses on continent formation and modification tectonics, array seismology, and multi-scale isotropic and anisotropic mantle velocity structure. He is involved in crustal and upper mantle structural imaging, employing techniques such as P- and S-wave travel-time tomography, surface waveform tomography, P- and S-wave receiver functions, shear wave splitting, and ambient noise tomography. Additionally, Yuan contributes to spectral element adjoint waveform tomography and regional global inversions.
