Huan Yu joined Southampton Business School as a Lecturer in September 2019. He completed his PhD in Management Science at the School of Management at the University of Science and Technology of China in May 2019. In addition to his PhD, he was a Visiting Researcher at IESEG School of Management from 2014 to 2016 and at the National University of Singapore in 2018. His research interests are primarily in the areas of credit risk and credit scoring, employing methodologies from business analytics, robust optimization, and reinforcement learning, utilizing econometric tools to aid companies in predicting customer behavior and decision-making in pricing and inventory management. He has been involved in teaching various modules related to data analytics, including postgraduate classes on Credit Risk & Data Analytics and formerly on modules such as Multivariate Statistics, Data Mining, and Text Mining Social Network Analytics.
