Biography

Huanghe Yang is an Associate Professor at Duke University in the Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine, and holds additional appointments in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Neurobiology, and Medicine. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and is a Faculty Network Member at the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences. Yang has been awarded multiple NIH grants for his work on therapeutic approaches to treat drug-resistant bacterial infections and for advancing the mechanistic understanding of membrane ion transport related to pain disorders. He is actively engaged in training programs aimed at developing future leaders in neurobiology and molecular biology. His laboratory, the Yang Lab, is recognized for its contributions to the fields of cell and molecular biology, particularly in understanding the interactions between ion channels and their regulatory mechanisms in human diseases.
