Biography

Huanyu Cheng is the James L. Henderson, Jr. Memorial Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Penn State University. His research primarily focuses on advanced materials and devices, applied mechanics, biomechanics, nanoscience, bionanoscience engineering, and structural health monitoring. Cheng completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University in 2015 after obtaining an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2011 and a Bachelor's in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University in 2010.
