Biography

Huaqing Wu received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada in 2021. He also earned M.E. and B.E. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China during 2017 and 2014, respectively. After completing his doctorate, he was awarded the prestigious Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2021, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McMaster University from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Dr. Wu is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His research interests include B5G/6G communications, edge computing and caching, space-air-ground integrated networks, Internet of Vehicles, and future networking with artificial intelligence (AI). He is looking for highly self-motivated undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students, as well as visiting scholars and students to join his research projects.
