Biography

H. Philip Pierpont is a Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at The University of Texas School of Dentistry in 1973 and later earned a postgraduate certificate in fixed prosthodontics in 1982. His extensive career in dental education includes roles such as Associate Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Chair of the Department of Occlusion and Fixed Prosthodontics, and Director of Advanced Education. Pierpont has been actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, American Dental Education Association, and the International College of Dentists. He is noted for his leadership roles, including past president of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics Texas Section and significant contributions to the ADEA Section on Student Affairs and Financial Aid.
