Hui Cao is the John C. Malone Professor of Applied Physics at Yale University, with additional appointments in Physics. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University, an M.A. from Princeton University, and a B.S. from Peking University. His research focuses on understanding and controlling light transport in complex photonic nanostructures. This work spans several fields including mesoscopic physics, nonlinear dynamics, laser physics, nanophotonics, and biophotonics, involving techniques like nanofabrication, material characterization, and optical measurements.
