Biography

Hui Yang was born and raised in Nanjing, P.R. China, and moved to Michigan with family in 2003. He completed his Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Eastern Michigan University in 2007. With over 15 years of experience in web and graphic design, he has worked with Fortune 500 companies as well as design firms in both China and the United States. He teaches Web and Digital Media courses at the Stamps School of Art and Design and Washtenaw Community College. His work primarily focuses on interactive design, exploring his personal experiences and the ways in which Chinese and American cultures intersect. He is interested in the narratives of complex cultural relationships as represented through digital media.
