Biography

Huixiao Chen received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Bioelectromagnetics from Zhejiang University, China. He joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University as a medical physicist for five years. In 2004, he enrolled in the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) program, completing a one-year certificate in German language and culture training at Shanghai Tongji University and Goethe-Institut in Frankfurt. Subsequently, he pursued a PhD in medical physics at the Department of Radiation Oncology of Mannheim Medical Center, Heidelberg University in Germany. Due to family reasons, he moved to the USA in 2010, finishing a one-year postdoctoral training in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University. This was followed by a two-year postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University. In 2016, he joined the medical physics team at Yale University School of Medicine, completing his residency training in Therapeutic Radiology and attaining the rank of Assistant Professor.
