Biography

Hy Dao is a full professor in the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Geneva. He is also a geographer with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He has been responsible for and an expert in several European projects on territorial cohesion (ESPON programme). He contributed to global risk analyses for the UNISDR (United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction). He recently led the University of Geneva team in the H2020 PLACARD project - Platform Climate Adaptation Risk Reduction and conducted several studies on planetary boundaries at both Swiss and European levels.
