Biography

Hyeran Helen Jeon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She completed her Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) degree in Orthodontics at Penn and subsequently joined the faculty. Dr. Jeon's primary research interests include bone remodeling, wound healing, and maxillary expansion using temporary anchorage devices (TADs). She actively mentors student research, working with one MSOB student, four orthodontic residents, five dental students, and three undergraduate students. With a clinical background in both Orthodontics and Periodontics, she teaches predoctoral and postdoctoral students at Penn and practices Orthodontics at the Penn Dental Family Practice on Locust Walk.
