Biography

Dr. Johnny Wang received his dental degree from Chung Shan Medical Dental University in Taiwan, followed by a Masters in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. He also holds a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science from UAB. He serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Washington and is the Chief of Periodontics at the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has conducted research focused on quantifying the effects of systemic health on periodontal status and clinical outcomes of immediate and delayed implant placement and loading. Additionally, he is an active member of the Curriculum Committee and the Student Progress Committee, contributing to the educational technology as a faculty liaison for the RIDE team. He collaborates with course directors to ensure educational equivalency for RIDE students at remote locations and participates in the calibration of preceptors at RIDE community rotation sites.
