Dr. I Van Ho

Biography

A/Prof I-Van Ho is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Macular Disease Specialist. He graduated from Sydney University Medical School and completed his Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He subsequently undertook two fellowships in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Medical Retina, one at Sydney Eye Hospital and another at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. In 2006, he completed a Macular Disease Medical Retina fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in Ophthalmology, where he heads the Ophthalmic Surgery program at the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University. He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney/Save Sight Institute, within the Department of Ophthalmology. His professional memberships include the Australian New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists, the Oceania Retina Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists. A/Prof Ho's clinical interests encompass medical and surgical diseases of the macula and retina, as well as retinal imaging techniques and small incision vitrectomy surgery. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
