Dr. I D Rusen

Biography

I.D. Rusen holds an MD and MSc in epidemiology, alongside a fellowship in community medicine. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, with a focus on international health and tuberculosis control. His academic responsibilities include supervising MHSc Practicum students, teaching graduate courses, and serving as a voting member on thesis committees. Over his career, Rusen has published extensively in public health and epidemiology, addressing topics such as severe maternal morbidity, diagnostic methodologies for tuberculosis, and trends in caesarean delivery rates. His work has been recognized within various public health studies and he has played a significant role in maternal health initiatives.
