Ian Lindsay is an Associate Professor at Purdue University, specializing in the origins of complex societies in the South Caucasus. He joined the Purdue faculty in 2007 after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2006. Currently, Prof. Lindsay is employing unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for high-resolution aerial imagery and 3D modeling of archaeological landscapes. As a past president of the American Research Institute of the South Caucasus, he is committed to fostering research collaborations in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. His research has received funding from several prestigious organizations, including the National Science Foundation and the Fulbright Program.
